Pointe Claire (February 27, 2010 - Toronto ON). Pointe Claire is a quiet neighborhood situated on the West Island, which is part of the Montreal island. Amanda Brugel was born there and her time there was short. Brugel lived in Courtice close to Oshawa. The first goal she had was to become a dancer. She was the teacher who suggested that she pursue a part the school's annual production. This led to her being awarded the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship from York University. In 2000 she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts at York University. Since then, she's appeared performing in over 60 plays, smaller and large. One of the most memorable was when she landed Rita's role in The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the sole Canadian actor in Season 1 and was only seen at times.
