Rene Marie Russo (born Rene Marie Russo) is an American film actress, model and film maker. Her beautiful beauty and successes in the field of film are a testament to her skills as an actor. When she was a model in her early years, she started in the 70s. She quickly became prominent in the field of modeling. She studied acting and theatre at the start of the decade. She then appeared on stages in Los Angeles, and other areas of California. Russo made her screen debut on ABCs drama series Sable in 1987 portraying the character of Eden Kendell. The first film she acted in, Major League was released in the year following. Russo played Tom Berengers 'love interest. Critics, initially skeptical by her acting abilities but eventually redeemed themselves when they saw her constant performance. Her praise was for her role in Wolfgang Petersen's Outbreak in which she competed with Dustin Hoffman and Morgan Freeman. But, as she admits she was never a fanatic with acting. She took a long self-imposed break. Then she returned by playing a character in the movie about superheroes Thor. She also starred in Nightcrawler which was her husband's Oscar Award winning film. Later, she would play in light-hearted comedies such as The Intern and Just Getting Started.
Rose Namajunas has been one of the UFC's most well-known female athletes. Her early days were spent as an amateur boxer that competed in regional events, before signing up with Invicta Fighting Championships. Then she joined the Ultimate Fighting Championships. Thanks to her accomplishments both inside and beyond the Octagon, Namajunas is known as a common name since joining UFC. Namajunas was born on June 29 1993 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to a Lithuanian Immigrant family. Rose participated in basketball as well as kickboxing when she was growing into a young woman. Invicta Fighting Championships gave her the opportunity to make her debut as a professional at age the age of 18, after she knocked down two competitors. The fights caught the eye to Dana White who signed her to be a part of the UFC s strawweight division on December 14, 2014, when she was just 22 years old. Throughout Rose her career, she's been through periods of highs and lows but each victory has been hers. Rose fought Carla Esparza in April 2015 to win the Women's Strawweight Champion. Rose won the bout via technical knockout in just 3 minutes after the start of the round. It was the first female to fight to win a title in any of the major promotions in the world. Namajunas had a number of wins following this one, and was named Performance Of The Night by UFC in her fights against Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
